East Slovak Museum in Košice, Division building

Beautiful Art Nouveau building of Division (seat of the former military headquarters) from the early 20th century, is now home to the East Slovak Museum in Košice. There are two spectacular exhibitions - exhibition Century in Art and exhibition Nature of the Carpathians. First mentioned depicts the development of all kinds of art and handicrafts in eastern Slovakia in different historical periods. It includes a pharmacy with rare contemporary historical equipment. Exhibition Nature of the Carpathians introduces to the visitors nearly two thousand exhibits of wonderful and diverse realm of plants, animals, rocks and minerals.
