St. John of Nepomuk, one of the patron saints of Bohemia, was one the church officials of the 14th century, which according to legend, was tortured to death by King Wenceslas IV. for that he - as the confessors right and proper - did not want to divulge confession secret of his wife. Cute Neo-Gothic chapel named after this saint is located in the forest near the road from Bankov to Košická Belá. The chapel was once a major pilgrimage, destination despite of the fact that tradition of pilgrimages in Slovakia disappeared long ago, it is still the favorite place of prayer and rest. Near the chapel is also a wellspring of St.John of Nepomuk, small forest spring that will delight every visitor.
