Kammerhof, the former seat of Chamber of mines, which controlled mining in central Slovakia, is the most valuable monument of the historical centre of Banská Štiavnica. Today its walls hide particularly valuable exhibitions of the Slovak Mining Museum dedicated to everything, which was connected with mining. Here you may find mining clothing, folk art with mining theme, also mining machinery including equipment for mining work, measuring, mapping, lighting, water pumping or transportation in mines. Visitors will be also impressed by a drawing room of the Chief chamber counts and gallery of the Chief chamber counts, who had a stint at the building.
