Slovak Technical Museum in Košice

Slovak Technical Museum, the only museum of technical specialization in Slovakia offers visitors a comprehensive insight into the history and traditions of science and technology in our country. A wide variety of diverse exposures presents the public the world of developed Upper-Hungarian mining, metallurgy and artistic blacksmithing, the history of physical, chemical and astronomical research in the country. One of the biggest attractions of the museum is called “The hall of electrical discharges”, where the visitor can become an actor of a rare attraction on his own and try the safety of the Faraday cage, to which is routed the artificial lightning from a Tesla coil. A part of the museum is also the oldest planetarium in Slovakia.
