Church of Two Hearts in Liptovský Sliač

In Slovakia it is very difficult to find similar buildings such as the Church of Two Hearts in Liptovský Sliač. This remarkable work of art with its Avant-Garde design breaks any stereotype. The architecture definitely impresses not only fans of modern architecture but also people who do not belong to those who admire modern sacral buildings. A beautiful exterior of the church evokes Noah’s Ark and thanks to it the church is called “Sliačanská Archa”.  It is also worth to visit an interior full of elaborate works of art created by artists from five European countries – Slovakia, Czech, Republic, Hungary, Poland and France. The church was named after two stone hearts that were found on the property where the building stands today. Stone hearts are also a symbol of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Virgin Mary.
